Where Do You Want to Be in 50 Years?

You likely have an idea of where you want to be in 1 year, 5 years, and maybe even 10 years. But where do you want to be in 50 years?

Retirement seems like a hazy concept for us millennials, but planning for it now makes a BIG difference in where we end up.

My hope is that you retire with enough money to have options.

I’m not just talking travel, I’m referring to what life is like beyond your sunset years, your twilight years.

Healthcare is a major expense as we grow older, and you deserve to be comfortable and well taken care of.

I recently visited relatives who moved into independent living, which was like the Ritz Carleton for seniors.

They had a saltwater pool, pickleball court, craft room, and every activity imaginable.

And the food was actually good!

Not, above all, healthcare is included.

If you want to retire with this level of care and comfort and care, you need to save now. If you’re self-employed, open that SEP IRA and also look into a Roth IRA.

But above all, think of how you want your retirement to look.

Envisioning where you want to be in 50 years will provide purpose for the money you invest in those retirement accounts.
