Are you afraid to take time away fron social media out of fear that your engagement will tank when you return?

Don’t be!

I took the month of February off, and ended up not posting to my social media newsfeeds during the entire month.

(Ok, I did make this post.)

And when I began posting to newsfeed and engaging again, my engagement was pretty much the same in March as it was in January.

How to Maintain Social Media Engagement While On Vacation:

1️⃣ Schedule newsfeed posts to go live while you’re on vacation via Meta Business Suite or the Instagram app.

(Just know that if you won’t be responding to comments, your engagement may go down a little.)

2️⃣ Post to Instagram/Facebook Stories regularly.

Share what you’re up to on vacation, posts from other accounts in your industry, and your previous posts.

And if you don’t want to be on social at all while on vacation, that’s fine too! We all deserve to digital detox. Your business won’t suffer.

What you should be focusing on, that’s even more effective than any social media channel

Email! Email marketing is waaaay more effective than any social media channel.

I’m comfortable with ignoring my social media while on vacation, but I will NEVER not send my weekly email. (I schedule those ahead of time too so I can still enjoy my vacation away from a computer screen.)
