Why Your Business Should Accept Multiple Payment Options

How many payment methods does your business accept?

I recommend offering at least two options, even on your website.

Watch the Reel!

Retail/In-Person Sales

When selling in person, you’re probably accepting cash and credit card payments. These are acceptable for the 2 minimum.

If you want to get fancy, you can accept Apple Pay, Venmo, etc., but if you just want to stick with cash and cards, that’s fine.

Website/E-Commerce Sales

On your website, you obviously can’t take cash, so credit card payments are necessary.

But they’re not enough. Here’s an example to illustrate why:

One day I was lounged on my couch with my cat. We were cozy.

I was also on my phone, buying something online, when the payment screen prompted me to enter my credit card.

But I didn’t have my credit card on me. I had my cat on me, so I abandoned my cart.

This is why your website should accept another popular payment method, like PayPal.

Because we can make purchases on the go, if we don’t have easy access to our credit card number and can’t just log in to another payment method, we’ll put off the purchase and likely forget about it all together.

You want to make paying easy and convenient for your customers (and their cats) or you run the risk of losing sales.

By having multiple payment options and a quick and convenient check-out process, you’re likely to make even more sales too!
