Top 3 Canva Mistakes Most Small Business Owners Make

You probably love using Canva to design social media posts, print marketing materials, and allll the graphics your business needs.  Just be sure you’re not making these three mistakes.

Watch the Reel!

#1 Not applying your branding to templates

This is HUGE! Yes, Canva templates are pretty and there have been some fonts and colors I haven’t wanted to update, but if you don’t, your graphics will look like a mess.

Brand awareness is a thing and by applying your brand to your designs you’ll build that brand awareness and give your designs a cohesive, professional look.

If you use Canva Pro, you can import your fonts and colors on the backend making it super quick to implement your brand while designing.

#2 Not leaving breathing room

Breathing room is white space. If you cram your elements together or push text right against the edge of your graphic, it’s going to feel overwhelming.

White space relaxes the eye and makes your designs pop.

#3 Using the wrong text size

There are two camps: those who make text too big and those who make text too small.

Make sure to print your design or view it zoomed in or out to its actual size to test if it looks good and is readable.
