Since starting my crazy diet ("lifestyle change"), I have had massive cravings. Not only for the typical cheese, pizza, or cake- but for kale, raspberries and turkey sausage. (As I mentioned before, it was a crazy diet.) Now I am back to eating somewhat regularly, and have decided to attempt the Green Smoothie. When Smooch was a business in Littleton, I would order theirs all the time. Fortunately for me, one of their employees ended up working for the bank, thus I secured the recipe! However, I've made a few modifications. Here is my rendition:
1 cup almond milk
Massive handful of kale (or spinach...or both!)
1 tbsp flax seed
1 Scoop of Barlean's Chocolate Greens
5 drops of Vanilla Creme liquid stevia
1/4 heaping tsp of cinnamon
1/8 heaping tsp of ginger
Add milk, liquid stevia and cinnamon. Stir. Throw everything else in and blend.
*What I am drinking out of is my blender. Actually, it's a Bullet. My mom purchased the NutriBullet, which I HIGHLY recommend. Note my stainless steel straw as well. Go "green"!
